Cost-effective underground installation

Conduit Plowing in Illinois

J-Mar provides conduit and cable plowing for long underground runs across suitable open routes. Plowing can reduce excavation, backfill, restoration, labor, and production time compared with conventional open trenching.

Lower-impact installation across open routes

Conduit plowing places conduit or cable below grade while disturbing a narrower section of the surface than conventional trenching. On appropriate routes and soil conditions, the method can produce meaningful cost savings while maintaining installation production.

J-Mar reviews route access, required depth, material size, crossings, soil conditions, restoration requirements, and project specifications before determining where plowing fits the scope. Directional boring or excavation can be coordinated for crossings and areas that are not suitable for plowing.

Send the plans, location, and schedule.

Send the route length, conduit or cable size, required depth, plans, known crossings, soil information, and schedule. J-Mar will review whether plowing offers a practical cost advantage for the project.
